As I was flying to my destination the other day on a Red Eye… Lawd!!! Please remind me to NOT do that again! I don’t sleep well on planes.
I was traveling west to east and at about 5am local time, I began to admire the beauty of the sunrise on the horizon.
It is incredible how being drawn toward that awesome light evoked so much energy and enthusiasm for the event I was preparing to attend. I hated leaving my parents as both my sister and I were traveling together. But, Mama’s multiple sclerosis seemed in check and Papa seemed better, too. So the time was opportune. The opportunity to be away and have some time to meditate and reflect would do us both some good.
As I looked at the glory of the sun peaking over the horizon, I was reminded metaphorically of how I can face tomorrow because of my hope, my joy, and my faith. With each new day is new opportunity and I’m thankful. Wake up and be blessed!
